Frequently Asked Questions
Answers To Common Questions
What kind of pet sitting do you do?
Strictly over-night pet sitting. I only provide services to people who are going away. Whether that's on vacation, for business, emergency etc. I stay at the owners home looking after their pet as if it was my own.
I do not offer drop-in or stays during the day.
How much do you charge?
I charge $80 a night for one dog and an additional $40 a dog from the same household.
Do you have pet sitting insurance? Are you bonded?
I am. I have both pet sitting insurance and am bonded
Absolutely. I have experience working with senior dogs, as well as dogs with certain ailments and issues.
Whether your dog is sick, old in age, or has recent gone through surgery, I have experience helping dogs with these issues!
Does the dog stay at your place?
No. I only provide over-night dog sitting in the homes of the dogs and owners.
Due to the fact that I have roommates with little children and 3 cats. Also because it's much more calming and relaxing when the dog gets to stay in their environment.
Do you have a cancelation fee?
Yes.
If you do not provide me with 48 hours notice, the down deposit of 50% of total bill looks like this:
1-3 days stay: 50% deposit retained
4-7 days stay: 35% deposit retained
8+ days stay: 25% deposit retained
Reason being is if you are booking a longer stay, not only is the down deposit higher for said client, but it also gives me more time to rebooking dates.
Do you stay at the house the whole time?
No. I have a day time job that allows me to work from home, but I work a part time evening job. So I will be out a minimum of 5 hours in the evening.
I will also have dinner with family and friends, as well as spending time socializing on my days off.
What happens in case of an emergency?
I take your pet to their regular veterinarian clinic. You are to give me information regarding your dog upon our meet and greet such as their regular veterinarian clinic so in case of an emergency, I know immediately where to take them.
Will you clean my home?
To a certain degree.
I will clean after myself and what ever mess your pet makes also.
I will not however clean your entire home such as dusting, landscaping, and any other house hold chores.
Do we meet the caregiver?
Yes. I absolutely don't take on any job without first conducting a meet & greet with the owners and dogs before hand. As much for the dogs getting familiar with me as it is for the owners.
